KRIS KHANGCellist Kristopher Khang has been heard as soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician in North America and Europe. Winner of the Young Musician’s Foundation’s Gregor Piatigorsky Memorial Cello Award, Mr. Khang has been named finalist and prizewinner of numerous competitions locally and nationally. Mr. Khang has collaborated in chamber music with artist as Masao Kawasaki, Lynn Harrell, Alex Kerr, Ulf Hoelscher, Roberto Diaz, James Dunham, and Gary Graffman. Mr. Khang has taken part in festivals at Interlochen, Aspen, and Amelia Island. During the 2007 season, Mr. Khang served as a substitute player in the San Antonio Symphony and served as teaching assistant to Lynn Harrell at the Rice University. Mr. Khang received his Bachelors degree at the University of Southern California under Ronald Leonard and his Masters degree at Rice University under Lynn Harrell.
