String Workshop - BRAVO!
The String Workshop is the beginning of the Music Education Center trajectory. String Workshop provides free weekly lessons and instruments to 140 aspiring musicians in the Goleta Unified School District, and beginning violin lessons in the Hope School District. The lessons occur in groups of three to six students and are divided into levels. This program gives musical training to many students that would not have otherwise considered taking up an instrument. The String Workshop programs works with the Goleta and Hope School districts to ensure a need is met that cannot be filled by district funding. Approximately nine professional teachers are in the schools Monday through Friday. It is the goal that the String Workshop students will join the Junior Orchestra and begin to move through the Music Education Center continuum.
BRAVO! collaboration with Santa Barbara Unified School District

This distrcit-wide program provides free weekly afterschool music instruction to approximately 230 SBUSD students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades.
